Diva Wars!

Another 81,000 copies sold around the world of Madonna’s Hard Candy
this week sees her tally move into the mid 2.3millions… while her arch
rival Mariah Carey once again fails to make it in the worldwide
top 40 album charts, with her total sales languishing in the vicinity of the
high 1.6millions. Won’t be long now until Madonna has sold 1million
copies more than Mariah.

Quite a fall from grace for Mariah really. She had all that hype from scoring
her record breaking 18th #1 US single with ‘Touch My Body’ earlier this
year, she totally outsold Madonna by 200,000 copies in first week US album
sales, and had it all looking good for her, and then… FLOP! He last album sold
like more than 10million copies. What went wrong this time?

Both Queens have pending tours. I wonder which of the two will come out on top
after both their tours have come to an end. My money sits with Madonna.
