On This Day: The Jackson’s commenced the Victory Tour

July 6th, 1984 -

The Jackson’s kicked off their final tour, The Victory Tour in Kansas City. The tour consisted of 55 shows, and was the highest grossing tour by any group at the time.

fun fact:

Though this tour was called Victory after their recently released album, not a single song from the Victory album was performed on the tour.
