May 26th, 1999: It was announced that the Backstreet Boys album “Millennium” had sold 1.13 million units in its first week of release.
Big Fucking Deal right? yeh.. i mean.. it’s the BrokeBack boys.. but think about that… 1.13 MILLION in the first week… thats just insane.. even massive stars like Madonna would be thrilled with half those numbers for first week sales!
That’s US sales only.. the fuckin thing sold 5 million copies world wide in it’s first week! thats so fucked up.. I didn’t realize they were so huge.
